On October 19, 2016, Director of Education Harinaldi, Director of Research and Community Engagement Heri Hermansyah, Deputy Dean for Research and Community Engagement of Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Djoko Triyono and Prof. Amarila Malik from the University of Indonesia (Indonesia) visited NAIST.

During the courtesy visit to NAIST, President Naotake Ogasawara, Vice President/Executive Director Mikio Kataoka, Division of Educational Development Head Masashi Kawaichi, and Division for Global Education Director Sachi Ando welcomed the delegation, and they shared information and exchanged opinions concerning further exchanges and activities.

The delegates also visited the Graduate Schools of Biological Sciences and Materials Science to learn about the management of advanced facilities and equipment.

This was a beneficial opportunity for both sides to strengthen relationships and encourage future cooperation between the University of Indonesia and NAIST.
