On November 6, 2017, Vice President Horng-Shing Lu and Prof. Hiroshi Masuhara (also a NAIST visiting professor) from National Chiao Tung University (NCTU) visited NAIST. From NAIST, Vice President/Executive Director Kiyomi Kakiuchi, Dean Jun Ohta (Graduate School of Materials Science), Director Tsutomu Hashida and Coordinator Junko Iwatsuki of Division for Global Education welcomed the NCTU delegates, and shared information on past, ongoing, and future academic activities between the two institutions.

Following this was a meeting with Dean Ohta, Vice Dean Tsuyoshi Kawai, Prof. Hiroshi Daimon (Surface and Materials Science) and Prof. Yoichiro Hosokawa (Bio-processing Engineering) to explore further possibilities for collaboration in research and education.

NAIST has been actively cooperating with NCTU in areas such as joint research, international symposia and the double degree program. The visit was an excellent opportunity for both institutions to consider new developments in collaboration.
