On December 8, 2015, the Division for Global Education hosted the 9th Global Campus Event "NAIST Tea Time" with more than 40 students, faculty, and staff attending. In accordance with the "NAIST Globalization Strategic Plan 2011" and accompanying "Action Plan," Global Campus Events are aimed at strengthening NAIST’s on-campus community and fostering increased mutual understanding and familiarity among NAIST's diverse population of students, faculty, and staff.

The event started with Antonio Tejero De Pablos, D1 student in Information Science from Spain, introducing the traditional event on the new year’s eve in Spain and popular sweet and hot drink known as “Chocolate con Churros.”
After the introduction, refreshing hot chocolate and churros were served. Attendees enjoyed socializing with each other over a cup of hot chocolate and churros.

Next, PechaKucha presentations were delivered by the following two participants:

■William Fabrice Brou (M1 Student in Information Science from Cote d’Ivoire)

■Thagun Chonprakun (D2 Student in Biological Sciences from Thailand)
