In accordance with the Globalization Strategic Plan, NAIST holds activities to recruit talented international students from partner institutions and abroad. In this visit to the Philippines the NAIST delegation visited two partner institutions, Ateneo de Manila University and Mapua Institute of Technology, and the University of the Philippines, a university with which we have established academic ties. The delegation held NAIST explanation seminars at Ateneo de Manila University and the University of the Philippines. NAIST has a long history of research and exchange with Ateneo de Manila University, including current collaborative research, and had a meeting with University of the Philippines to discuss possible future collaborative research.

The NAIST delegation included GSIS Vice Dean Hirokazu Kato, GSIS Professor Hiroyuki Seki, GSIS Professor Shigehiko Kanaya, Marc Santos, GSMS Dean Kiyomi Kakiuchi, GSMS Professor Hisao Yanagi, GSMS Associate Professor Takashi Matsuo, CIR Director Noriko Ito, and International Liaison Office Section Chief Norito Hamada.
