NAFSA: the Association of International Educators was established in 1948 as an NPO organization, aimed at promoting international education interchange based in the United States. There are over 10,000 participants from all over the world, held annually toward the end of May.

This year, CIR Director Steven Nishida, and International Activities Coordinator Junko Iwatsuki attended the 66th Annual Conference, for the purpose of publicizing NAIST, gaining a better understanding of higher education around the world, and developing new partnerships through attending workshops and networking with other participants. We were also able to build stronger relationships with our current partner institutions through meetings with their international office staff members.
