(TEAM - Technologies of information and communication Europe-east Asia Mobilities)
-Academic exchange between Europe, Japan and Republic of Korea-
The name “Erasmus” originally came from a Dutch Humanist/Philosopher who traveled all over Europe during 15-16 century, spreading and introducing his research activities. This program supports and facilitates collaboration of students and researchers among educational institutes to deepen cross-culture understanding and to enhance quality in higher education in the EU region.
The TEAM Erasmus Mundus project, (TEAM – Technologies of information and communication Europe-east Asia Mobilities) funded by the European Commission creates a network of excellence in the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) through exchanges of Doctoral students, Post-doctoral scholars and Faculty in Europe, Republic of Korea and Japan. In 2014, NAIST was included in the TEAM consortium initiated by University Pierre and Marie CURIE (UPMC), joining 12 world-leading research universities for the period from July 15th, 2014 to July 14th, 2018. During this period, the TEAM selection committee will select successful applicants to be supported in international mobility between Europe, Republic of Korea and Japan; 6 or 12 months for Doctoral students, 9 months for Post-doctoral and 1 month for Faculty/Staff members. This project aims to promote successful research and education collaborations which will lead to gaining competence and external funding in ICT fields.
