Dr. Kazuhiro Shiozaki was inaugurated as the 8^th President of NAIST on April 1, 2021 and greeted the faculty and staff in the inauguration ceremony held on April 2.

In his talk, President Shiozaki described his vision of NAIST as a 'university co-creating the future,' and introduced the upcoming "NAIST 2030" prospect and the "The 4^th Mid-term Objectives and Plans," which will outline the goals, objectives and plans for NAIST's operations. He also expressed his excitement to "work together with NAIST faculty and staff to prepare NAIST for the nest 30 years."

The inauguration ceremony closed with introductions of the new executive directors, the dean, vice deans and center directors and they each talked about their aspirations for NAIST.
