On July 9th, one NAIST faculty member described below was confirmed as having been infected with the new coronavirus.

• Age: 30's
• Sex: Male

On July 8th (Thu), the faculty member developed a fever and took a PCD test that day. The faculty member was diagnosed as "positive" on July 9th (Fri).
However, since this faculty member has not entered the campus since June 28th (Mon), no one came in close contact with him at NAIST.

NAIST's Crisis Measures Headquarters will continue to take measures to prevent the spread of infection based on the national and prefectural government policies.
