この度、研究推進機構 発酵科学研究室の髙木博史特任教授（前・バイオサイエンス領域教授）が令和5年8月20-25日にフィレンツェ（イタリア）で開催された「The 31^st International Conference on Yeast Genetics and Molecular Biology（第31回国際酵母遺伝学分子生物学会）」にてEuropean Federation of Biotechnology（欧州バイオテクノロジー連合）・Microbial Biotechnology Division（微生物バイオテクノロジー部門）の「Conference Award（学会賞）」を受賞しました。

　欧州バイオテクノロジー連合の微生物バイオテクノロジー部門は、微生物に関する高度な基礎研究の進展およびバイオテクノロジーへの応用に取り組んでおり、本賞は微生物バイオテクノロジーの分野において顕著な業績をあげた研究者に対し、授与されます。

　今回、高木博史特任教授は本学会にて、Functional amino acids engineering in yeast: From metabolic regulations to biotechnological applications（酵母における機能性アミノ酸工学：代謝調節機構からバイオテクノロジーへの応用まで）という演題で基調講演を行い、同賞の最初の受賞者に選ばれました。
