NAIST participated in the "Experience Japan Exhibition (EJE) 2021 Online" (2021/11/20)
On Saturday, November 20th, NAIST participated in the Japan study abroad fair "Experience Japan Exhibition (EJE) 2021 Online". This is the largest study abroad fair for Japan held in London, England, and was switched to an online format from last year. Universities and organizations nationwide, mainly universities chosen for the Top Global University Project, provided various program and scholarship information for students who were interested in studying in Japan. While set in the UK, students interested in Japan from all over the world were able to participate. NAIST took this opportunity to invite our international partner institutions to visit our booth as well.
In opening the event, Robert King, UEA of the Division for Global Education, gave an overview of our institution, and this was followed by a NAIST International Student Ambassador who introduced his own NAIST experience. This was followed by group sessions where the staff and Ambassadors answered a wide range of questions about specific laboratories, admissions, scholarships, student housing, and other aspects of the living and studying at NAIST.
This event was attended by 25 participants who had applied in advance from a wide range of regions, including France, Germany, the Netherlands, and other European countries, as well as Malaysia, the Philippines, and Hong Kong. The participants actively inquired about various aspects of life at NAIST and the Ambassadors gave on-the-spot, first-hand information and advice. This was a valuable opportunity for both the staff and our student representatives to talk directly with interested students and convey the appeal of NAIST to students who are not yet familiar with it.
