National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) being established as "Tainan Technical College" in 1931 has transformed into one of the most established, comprehensive universities in Taiwan with about 21 000 students and 1 900 faculty members in total, NCKU has continued as a leader in the fields of engineering, science, management and medicine. Program Details	The 2021 NCKU International Summer School, will feature a "Sustainable Environment, Myth or Reality?" as the topic. This summer course will include 9 sessions, each session will cover a specific SDG target. ・Core Course (2 credit)   The goal is to cover 9 of the 17 goals in the course, such as Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, Sustainable Cities and Communities and so forth. ・Crash Course in Chinese (Optional)   The course is offered by the Chinese Language Center of NCKU. In this summer school, we designed the course to teach "Survival Chinese" for daily use to help students communicate in Mandarin. ・Field Trips   Experiential field trips which connect SDGs to local issues, industries, environment, conservation and culture. Eligibility	1. Master's and doctoral course students. 2. English proficiency (as the courses will be taught in English) The non-English speakers are required their latest English certificate (TOEIC, IELTS, or TOEFL).

How to apply	1. Please contact the Division for Global Education (DGE) and notify that you wish to apply by June 1st, 2021. Be sure to consult with your supervisor beforehand. Please include     ・your name     ・lab name     ・Master's or Doctoral course     ・email address 2. DGE will nominate the candidates for consideration and send a list to NCKU after obtaining NAIST campus approval.
