Most of the international students and scholars at NAIST are studying and working in Japan for the first time. From the time they get off the plane they begin their life in Japan, which sometimes presents some difficulties for people who are new to Japanese language and culture. CISS and the entire International Affairs Division as a whole are here to support our international community as it continues to expand year by year.
For international students who have questions, concerns, or would like to discuss about their life at NAIST or in Japan, you may stop by the International Student Affairs Section or CISS and we will try to help you or introduce an office that may be able to. For International Scholars that are performing research or working at NAIST, you may of course discuss your concerns with your laboratory, but also CISS is here to assist or improve your experience both on and off campus. Additionally, NAIST has established the 'Open Consultation for Students' program to assist students in various areas when you don't know who to contact for help.
