Student Visa Application

Upon formal admission to an academic course or program at NAIST, you need to proceed with the application for Student Visa.

Before the application of visa, you have to apply for "Certificate of Eligibility (CoE)". You're required to fill out the application form and submit necessary documents to NAIST, and we will submit the application documents to the immigration office in Japan on your behalf. Usually it takes around 1 month for the issuance of CoE.

After you obtain official admission letter and CoE from us, please apply for student visa at the Japanese consulate serving your area of residence.
