  The Nara Institute of Science and Technology (hereafter referred to as "NAIST"), as a national graduate university, aims to contribute to advancing science and technology and developing society through cutting-edge research, the outcomes of which also promote advanced graduate education. One of the goals of the "Co-creation" embraced in the NAIST President's Vision 2030 is to advance education and research through collaboration with universities and research institutions domestically and abroad.
 In line with the university mission and the president's vision, the Basic Strategy for International Exchange focuses on actions to strive for academic excellence in the fields of science and technology toward further development of NAIST and its intellectual contributions to the global community.
