On January 16, the International Affairs Division and the Center for International Students and Scholars (CISS) hosted the NAIST Stage at Millennium Hall.
This was an event that brought together international and Japanese students, researchers, faculty, staff, and their families to further cross-cultural exchange, and international and Japanese students and researchers performed live and on video.
The performances were also live-streamed for the local government and the communities, scholarship organizations, and international exchange organizations.
This year, the number of performers increased by 4, with a total of 11 groups giving their best performances in different areas. The venue was filled with excitement as the performances were spectacular from start to finish, including enjoyable videos introducing different countries' cuisine and our students' campus life, solo singing that captivated the audience with a clear, penetrating voice, a traditional Indonesian dance performed with all the members in harmony, an powerful band performance, cute kung fu performances by children, and a dynamic dance by a multinational student group. This time we saw several groups of international and Japanese students who performed together and were able to witness firsthand the "co-creative community" that NAIST is aiming for.
This year, not only did the number of performers increase, but also the number of spectators as well, with a total of approximately 180 people gathering and enjoying their time together, making it a very meaningful event.
