On July 11th, 2024, a delegation from the Consulate of Switzerland in Osaka, headed by Consul Felix Moesner, visited NAIST. At the courtesy visit, Dr. Kazuhiro Shiozaki (President), Dr. Jun Ohta (Vice President for International Affairs), and Mr. Katsuhiro Azuma (Head of International Affairs Division) welcomed the delegation.
In the greetings, President Shiozaki first made an introduction on the exchanges that have taken place between the researchers, and expressed his hope for more active exchanges with Switzerland as well as spreading the attractions of Keihanna region throughout the Expo Osaka, Kansai upcoming in 2025. Consul Moesner then spoke about the high expectation on further strengthening relationships with NAIST and shared the increasing attention of Swiss people to Japanese Society.
Following this, the delegation visited the Ubiquitous Computing Systems Laboratory in the Division of Information Science and had active discussions with professors about their research.
This visit was a meaningful opportunity for both sides to consider further future collaborations.
