Full-time master's and doctoral course students are offered Japanese classes as part of their curriculum. With three levels, these range from beginner's classes for those who have no experience with Japanese to advanced classes to prepare students to live and work in Japan.
In addition to the official curriculum, Network Ikoma (representative: Ms. Yamazaki) provides Japanese classes on a volunteer basis at NAIST. Many students take these classes, working hard to improve their Japanese. The teachers are extremely kind, and the content of the classes they offer is excellent.
Proficiency in the Japanese language is key to life in Japan. We hope that many international students will take these classes in order to have a more comfortable and enjoyable stay in Japan.
- Days: Tuesdays, 18:30 - 20:00 and Saturdays, 10:30 - 12:00
- Cost: Free of charge
Classes closed: Summer vacation, winter vacation, and national holidays.
Please contact the International Student Affairs Section if you are interested in participating. Students are assigned to a class depending on their level, so please inform us of your current level in the Japanese language. We will contact the teachers, who provide students with further details on the classes.
